In the enchanting town of Rishikesh, India, we met Rajinder, a local guide who, despite his disabilities, has led me to a revered meditation cave, celebrated locally as one of the purest places on Earth. There, Neel, an ashram resident, introduced us to the cave’s spiritual history and the elevated states of consciousness awaiting within.

Entering the Hallowed Cave.
I take my first cautious steps, allowing my eyes to adapt to the enveloping darkness. The heady scent of sandalwood and jasmine hangs heavy in the air. Soon, a faint candle light becomes visible and I slowly discern the shadowy shapes of the meditators, sitting perfectly still in absolute silence.
